Design and construction, under one roof

Saylor Lane Studios is a full-service design-build studio — we design your home and construct it too. One team, one contract, one point of accountability from first sketch through final walkthrough.

The rooms you didn't know you needed

Steam rises from a hot outdoor bath with towels and bowls nearby, adjacent to a sauna room with glass door, wooden interior, and soft lighting, surrounded by trees and natural light.

Sauna / Cold Plunge

A home wellness retreat, designed and built for daily ritual — custom cedar saunas, cold plunge tubs, and steam showers that bring the spa to coastal San Diego living.

A bright kitchen with light wood cabinets, open shelves with dishes, and a marble countertop. Natural sunlight streams through a large window, illuminating a vase with dried flowers and stacked plates.

The Scullery

A hidden back kitchen for prep, storage, and mess — so your main kitchen stays picture-perfect. Custom scullery and butler's pantry design with cabinetry built around how you cook and entertain.

Golf Simulator

Practice year-round without leaving home. We design and build custom golf simulator rooms with turf, screen, and lounge seating — the modern upgrade to the home theater.

Living room with built-in bookcase, white sofa, leather chaise, coffee table, and skylight.

Speak Easy / Hidden Room

A bookcase that opens into a private bar. Hidden rooms, home speakeasies, and concealed lounges built with custom millwork and a little bit of magic.

I have worked with Josie many times from a AutoCAD design to lay out completely remodeling my kitchen, to selecting the perfect hardwood flooring for my house, to even selecting furniture pieces that fit my aesthetic and design. Anytime I felt like I had design fatigue Josie was there to help make selections that I have loved for years
